These standards apply to everyone on Yassir — mentors, mentees, and visitors — and to everything done through it: sessions, messages, briefs, attachments, reviews, and profiles. They are part of the Terms; breaking them is breaking your agreement with us. They exist as a separate document so the rules of conduct are readable in one place, and so we can enforce them without stretching the general Terms.

#1. Treat people properly

  • No harassment, bullying, intimidation, or threats of any kind.
  • No hate speech or discrimination — including on the basis of gender, nationality, ethnicity, religion, age, or disability.
  • No sexual advances, sexualised remarks, or requests to move the conversation anywhere inappropriate. Sessions are professional meetings and end the moment they stop being one — either party may end a session that turns improper and report it, and a mentee who does so is entitled to a refund under the dispute process.
  • Respect stated boundaries: if the other person declines a topic, it is declined.

#2. Be who you say you are

  • One person, one account, their real identity.
  • No impersonation of any person or organisation.
  • No invented degrees, inflated titles, fictional employers, or borrowed affiliations. "Ex-McKinsey" means you worked there; "advised McKinsey clients" does not become "McKinsey consultant".
  • Mentors must keep profiles current — a role you left two years ago is a past role.

#3. Respect confidences

  • Employers' and clients' secrets stay secret — in both directions. A mentor sharing their employer's confidential information, or a mentee pumping a mentor for one, are both breaches. General experience and public information are welcome; non-public information is not.
  • Mentee materials are for the session. A mentor may not share, reuse, or retain a mentee's CV, brief, or personal circumstances beyond delivering the session they were shared for.
  • No recording without the explicit consent of everyone present. A covert recording is a serious breach regardless of what it captures, and is never accepted as dispute evidence.

#4. Keep the guidance honest

  • No promising jobs, offers, admissions, interview results, or grades.
  • No regulated professional advice — medical, legal, financial, or otherwise — through the platform. See the Professional Guidance Disclaimer.
  • No academic dishonesty: no writing or "heavily editing" assessed work, no exam answers, no interview answers to be recited verbatim.
  • No trafficking in inside information: no NDA'd interview questions, no confidential compensation data, no non-public company information.
  • No advice that is dangerous, unlawful, or knowingly misleading.

#5. Keep the marketplace honest

  • No going around the platform. Don't solicit or accept off-platform payment for sessions, don't swap contact details before a confirmed booking in order to transact elsewhere, and don't encourage cancelling to deal directly. (What you do genuinely independently of Yassir is your business — the breach is using Yassir to find each other and then cutting it out.)
  • No rating games. No trading reviews, rating yourself through another account, offering anything for a rating, or threatening a bad one.
  • No fraud: payment fraud, refund abuse, chargeback abuse, fake bookings.
  • No spam, advertising, recruitment, or solicitation unrelated to sessions.
  • No scraping, data harvesting, or interfering with the platform's operation.

#6. Enforcement

What happens depends on severity and history:

SeverityTypical response
Minor, first timeWarning and, where relevant, content removal
Repeated, or moderatePenalty rating, temporary suspension, removal of the profile from browse
Serious — threats, fraud, sexual misconduct, covert recording, false credentials, safety risksImmediate permanent removal; pending payouts withheld where the conduct affects them; referral to authorities where appropriate

We tell you what rule was broken and what we did, unless doing so would endanger someone or impede an investigation. Enforcement decisions can be appealed once through the Complaints process.

#7. Reporting

Report anything you see to complaints@yassir.dev or via the booking page's Report link. Reports in good faith never count against you — see the Complaints policy's no-retaliation commitment. If anyone is in immediate danger, contact the police (999 in Saudi Arabia) first.
